APA Technology
Air Pollution Abatement: filterless pollution reduction
APA – Air Pollution Abatement is a revolutionary filterless, modular and intelligent technological solution, integrated with IoT services, for the abatement and monitoring of environmental pollutants, both indoors and outdoors.
Through the synergy of chemical, physical and mechanical processes and using only water, APA effectively captures and removes pollutants, reducing dust, gases, fumes, odours, bacteria, viruses and pollen to safeguard health and protect and regenerate the surrounding environment.
APA is a certified advanced technology serving people and the environment.
APA is a Best Available Technology (BAT – IPPC 2008/1/EC) and a leader among enabling and industrial technologies as a Key Enabling Technology (KET), characterized by high R&D intensity and innovation in processes, goods and services. It has functional, systemic and strategic relevance for strengthening the European Union's productive base in a future shaped by challenge and innovation (COM(2009)0512).
Within the European Horizon 2020 programme, four separate "Seals of Excellence" and the SME Instrument Phase 2 Grant Agreement attest to its excellence, impact, quality and implementation efficiency: a high-quality project in a highly competitive environment.
- Acts at ground level
- No filters and no waste
- Funding and incentive opportunities (Industry 4.0, R&D projects, tax incentives, etc.)
- Modular, scalable, multi-format design
- Low TCO, high energy and cost efficiency
- Outdoor and indoor
- Real-time parameter monitoring and machine management, on site and/or remotely
- Multimedia, multi-service platform

The distributed strategy
APA uses an innovative, intelligent distributed-deployment approach in which individual pollution absorbers are connected in a network (or cluster) to increase abatement effectiveness and enable cloud-based monitoring. It is a unique, patented and versatile system that can be applied to different emission sources—distributed or point-source, fixed or mobile—and in many forms, from home or business furnishing systems to private and public architectural and urban reconfiguration projects.
Our solutions
Continuous research and technological application, awareness of resource constraints in a rapidly evolving environment, and consolidated experience in highly regulated markets make us a reliable and innovative partner in every field of application, indoors and outdoors, public and private. We provide cross-cutting clean-air solutions, either stand-alone or integrated into secure, customized multimedia platforms with exceptional added value for sustainable development and a healthy lifestyle, starting with the quality of the air around us.
– regulatory-compliance services for occupational health and safety obligations and support in certification processes including TEE, LEED and BREEAM, as part of Corporate Responsibility.
We rethink urban spaces through new Smart City models that are more attractive, healthier, resilient and sustainable for people, the environment and public administrations.
- Commercial areas
Shopping centres, stores, showrooms…
- Public services
Amusement parks, banks, clinics and hospitals, cinemas, exhibition areas, food courts, parks and gardens, gyms, sports centres and stadiums, museums, schools, theatres, smoking areas…
- Mobility
airports, bus stations, cycle paths, garages, parking areas, ports, motorways, underground stations, railway stations, service stations…
- Public and private infrastructure
Buildings, bridges, roads, squares, tunnels…
We redesign the enterprise as a responsible organization towards the people who create it and experience it.
APA can be easily installed and integrated with existing infrastructure, HVAC technologies, pollution-control, monitoring and automation systems, and air and environmental treatment units across different production and processing areas. It limits the risk of exposure to pollutants by acting as a collective protection device both at ground level and at the source. It provides an environment with controlled variables, improving performance and reducing energy waste for more sustainable management.
